ABOUT COLLEGE COACHING SERVICES
Families who work with RingTrue for their college search have one or more of the following needs in common:
1. They're looking for a more thorough and individualized approach to college search and admissions than what they can do on their own, or with their school's help
2. They want to work with someone who can help them stand out from other applicants, and give them information and tips that lead to better admissions and scholarship opportunities
3. They don't want to have any regrets when it comes to choosing colleges
4. They're feeling overwhelmed and stuck, and want extra support to move through the process
5. They're looking to reduce the stress and anxiety that the college search and admissions process is causing their family
My services at RingTrue offers families a better approach to the college search and admissions process. An approach that gives students – no matter their aptitude in the classroom – the structure, support and accountability to find their very best college fit. How? I focus on each individual student's unique needs, personality and preferences. I'm not biased about particular colleges or programs, and don't believe in one right path to success. Instead, I start by helping students clearly understand their one-of-a-kind talents and strengths, then show them how to use them to build the right mix of courses and activities in high school; to choose the right major(s) and colleges; and to bring it all together in an attractive student brand for applications and scholarships.
RingTrue makes the most difference for families who:
1. Want to find the best college fit for their student
2. Keep an open mind and listen to the student's true needs and preferences
3. Work together as a family to put in the extra time and effort that is required to be successful
4. Agree to have open and honest conversations throughout the search and admissions process

The earlier in high school I can start working with students, the better. Ideally, I like to start meeting with students by the first semester of their Sophomore year so that I can help them shape their résumés through high school course and activity selection.
However, many students start working with me as late as the summer before their Senior year.
RingTrue offers a variety of coaching opportunities to fit your family's budget, including:
- Comprehensive Workshops: A series of workshops over a two- or three-year period; for Sophomores and Juniors who want a more structured program, including time for your coach to conduct additional research, provide follow-up notes and action items, college list suggestions and more.
- Customized Coaching: These two-hour sessions are designed to give students the most flexibility with pay-as-you-go pricing.
- Group Sessions: These economical workshop sessions are offered periodically for students who need limited structure and support; topics range from college list development, to essay writing and more.
